For me , sparking creativity for painting when I am in a lull means going in a different direction. Writing, making jewelry, cooking a great meal I never made before, traveling to a place I've never been- that can be a trail in the woods near my home that I never explored, right now it is letting the oils rest and working in pastel. Each of these helps renew my creative drive.
